AnnaSofia is a Swedish artist in the fields of sculpture, ceramics, ice and snow. Her art world mirrors the arctic nature as it is in Lapland in northern Sweden. Based in Kiruna, 200 kilometers above the Polar Circle, she mainly uses metamorphic materials such as clay, ice and snow for her art. Her expressions stretch from a very restrained design language to highly figurative art. Nevertheless they express the same thing: an immediate impression that always hide another movement; a silent and obtrusive worry. AnnaSofia Mååg’s sculptures are an art of intimation.
